Terms of service
No—I hadn’t checked this exact template before my earlier draft. I should have used it as the starting point.
Below is the revised version. It keeps Shopify’s structure and relevant seller protections, adapts shipping and licensing for digital music, and preserves the Shopify relationship clause. The only placeholder is your public business address. Nothing has been published.
Terms of Service
Overview
Welcome to AURDOS. The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Aurdo Pte Ltd, Singapore, trading as AURDOS. We operate shop.aurdos.com, including its content, digital music, features and services (the “Services”). Our store is powered by Shopify.
These Terms, together with the policies linked below, govern your use of the Services and purchases from our store. By using the Services or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information.
1. Access and account
You must have legal capacity to make a purchase, or have a parent or guardian make it on your behalf. Please provide accurate, current billing, payment and contact information and use a payment method you are authorised to use.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and private music-access links secure. You may not sell, transfer or share your account or access links with others. Contact us if you suspect unauthorised use.
2. Our products
We sell digital music for personal listening. Each product page identifies the tracks, album contents and included file formats. No physical item is included unless expressly stated.
Previews are provided to help you choose. Playback quality can vary with your device, software and audio equipment. We may update listings or discontinue products, without reducing what you are entitled to receive under an accepted order.
3. Orders
Placing an order is an offer to purchase. We accept your order when payment has been successfully processed and we send your order confirmation.
We may decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary because of suspected fraud, unauthorised payment, a material pricing error, product unavailability or legal restrictions. We will notify you by email and refund any payment collected for an order we cancel without supplying the purchase.
Please review your selection before paying. Refund requests are handled under our Return and Refund Policy.
4. Prices and billing
Prices may vary by country, currency or sales platform and may change for future purchases. Your checkout shows the currency and total payable, including applicable taxes. There are no physical shipping charges for digital music.
Your bank or payment provider may charge separate conversion or transaction fees. You must provide accurate billing details and authorise the payment method used.
Promotions may have additional conditions stated with the offer. Those conditions apply to the promotion.
5. Digital delivery
After payment is confirmed, music access is provided through Single, our digital delivery partner. Order and access details are sent to the email address used at checkout.
You need an internet connection to access or download the music, sufficient storage and a compatible player for your chosen format. Please keep a personal backup of downloaded files.
If an access email does not arrive or a file will not open, contact hello@aurdos.com. Access may occasionally be interrupted by maintenance or technical issues; we will help resolve delivery problems.
6. Intellectual property and your music licence
The music, artwork, branding and other store content belong to AURDOS or their respective rights holders. Buying music does not transfer copyright.
Your purchase grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download and listen to the purchased music for personal, non-commercial use. You may store it on your own devices and make personal backup copies.
You may not resell, redistribute, share download links, upload the files publicly, or use the music in videos, advertising, public performances or commercial projects without the necessary permission, except where permitted by law. For licensing enquiries, email hello@aurdos.com.
AURDOS and Shopify names and logos, and other trademarks displayed in the store, remain the property of their respective owners. No permission to use them is granted by a purchase.
7. Optional tools
We may offer optional tools supplied by third parties. Their use may be subject to the provider’s terms. We do not control independent third-party tools and cannot guarantee their availability or performance.
This does not remove our responsibilities for music purchased from us or for delivery services we arrange.
8. Third-party links
Links to external websites are provided for convenience. We do not control those websites or their content, products or policies. Review their terms before using them or making a separate purchase.
9. Relationship with Shopify
AURDOS is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. However, any sales and purchases you make in our Store are made directly with AURDOS. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and AURDOS, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services. You hereby expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with AURDOS.
10. Privacy policy
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used and shared. Shopify also processes information under its Consumer Privacy Policy.
Information needed to process orders and provide music access is shared with relevant service providers, including Shopify and Single. These providers may process information outside your country, as described in the applicable privacy policies.
11. Feedback and reviews
If you submit a review for publication, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it and use it to promote the store, with edits for length or formatting that do not misrepresent your meaning. Private support emails are not treated as public reviews without your permission.
Your submissions must be honest, lawful and respect others’ rights. Please disclose any incentive received for a review. We may remove spam, abusive content or material that infringes others’ rights. We may use general suggestions to improve the Services without payment or an obligation to implement them.
12. Errors, inaccuracies and omissions
We may correct errors in descriptions, prices, offers or availability. If a material error affects your order, we will contact you to resolve it, including offering cancellation and a refund where appropriate. We will not charge an increased price without your agreement.
13. Prohibited uses
You must not use the Services for fraud, infringement, harassment, impersonation or other unlawful activity. You must not distribute malware or spam, collect others’ personal information without authority, share paid music unlawfully, or bypass payment, access or security controls.
Unauthorised copying, extraction or commercial exploitation of the store’s content is prohibited. This does not restrict the personal downloads and backups permitted in Section 6.
14. Automated agents
Automated tools acting on your behalf must comply with these Terms. They must not conceal their identity, evade security checks or access restrictions, or interfere with the Services. We may restrict automated activity that threatens security, misuses content or disrupts the store.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach of these Terms, fraud, security threats or unlawful activity. Where appropriate, we will notify you and allow an opportunity to resolve the issue.
Termination does not remove outstanding payment obligations, applicable refund rights or provisions that naturally continue, including intellectual-property restrictions and liability provisions.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
We do not guarantee that the website or hosted listening services will always be uninterrupted or error-free, or that music will suit every listener’s personal preferences.
Except for the product commitments we expressly make and warranties required by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. This does not exclude applicable rights concerning the quality, description or delivery of purchased digital content.
17. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for business losses, lost profits or revenue, or indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Services. We are not responsible for losses caused by your unauthorised use, incompatible equipment contrary to stated requirements, or circumstances outside our reasonable control, except where the law makes us responsible.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This applies throughout these Terms, including the provisions concerning Shopify and third parties.
18. Responsibility for third-party claims
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for reasonable losses and costs we incur from third-party claims directly caused by your deliberate unlawful use of the Services or infringement of others’ rights. This does not cover losses caused by our own fault.
We will inform you of any such claim and take reasonable steps to minimise losses. We will not agree to a settlement requiring payment or other action from you without your consent.
19. Severability
If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply so far as permitted by law.
20. Waiver and entire agreement
A delay in enforcing a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later. These Terms, the policies they reference and the product details agreed when you order form the agreement for your purchase. They do not exclude information or promises that are binding under applicable law.
21. Assignment
You may not transfer your account or obligations under these Terms without our agreement. We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a business transfer, provided this does not reduce your rights under an existing purchase.
22. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Singapore law. If you are a consumer in another country, you retain the mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in your local courts that applicable law gives you.
Please contact hello@aurdos.com first so we can try to resolve any concern directly.
23. Headings
Headings are provided for convenience and do not change the meaning of these Terms.
24. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version here. Updates apply to future purchases and do not retrospectively change accepted orders. We will provide notice of material changes where required by law.
